Rotherham Day isn't a single event in one location. It's a movement that belongs to everyone. From schools and businesses to charities, community groups, local pubs and neighbourhoods, the entire town is invited to come together for one day each year to celebrate everything that makes Rotherham special.

For too long, the story of Rotherham has too often been told by others. Rotherham Day aims to change that by giving the town's people the opportunity to tell their own story. One of resilience, ambition, kindness, innovation and community. It's about celebrating the people who live here, work here and make Rotherham the place it is.

The vision is for Rotherham Day to become a lasting annual tradition that every school, business, charity and resident looks forward to, takes part in and feels proud to call their own. By bringing together organisations and individuals from every corner of the borough, Rotherham Day demonstrates what can be achieved when a community unites behind a shared purpose.

The idea was created by TMG Financial Services' own Scott Thorpe, who continues to play a leading role as one of the day's main ambassadors. Scott's passion for Rotherham and his commitment to showcasing the town's strengths have helped turn an idea into a growing movement that is inspiring people across the community.
